ETH Zurich at the 2019 Goldschmidt Conference

The ETH Zurich Isotope Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry groups play important roles in the largest global geochemistry conference – the Goldschmidt Conference in Barcelona in August 2019.

More than 20 scientists, from doctoral students to professors (most travelling by train!), recently joined more than 4000 other scientists to present their work at the annual Goldschmidt conference in Barcelona, co-chaired by Derek Vance (Professor of Geochemistry, ETH Zurich).

Pre-conference workshops

The pre-conference workshops for students and others have become a tradition at Goldschmidt.

One of these – DINGUE VI (Developments in Noble Gas Understanding and Expertise) – was held at ETH Zurich and was well-attended by around 70 scientists from world-wide research institutions, industry and international institutions.

The participants enjoyed not only fruitful discussions on state-of-the-art noble gas research but also the social events on the Earth Sciences’ roof top.
