Ambizione fellowship success for the ETH Zurich isotope group

The ETH Zürich Isotope Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry Groups have two new Ambizione fellows – Dr. Netta Shalev and Dr. Bradley Peters – amongst a total of 15 awarded across the whole of ETH.

Congratulations to Dr. Netta Shalev and Dr. Bradley Peters on securing these prestigious awards from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Netta Shalev
Netta Shalev

Netta Shalev’s project is entitled “Using oceanic Mg and Sr stable isotope records to understand the past Earth”. She will develop and use new sedimentary archives to reconstruct Phanerozoic variations in seawater magnesium and strontium isotopes, to better understand the fundamental Earth’s processes controlling the oceanic Mg and Sr budgets (such as weathering, volcanism and sedimentation).

Bradley Peters' project is entitled “The Hadean geochemical heritage of Earth’s ancient and modern mantle”. His project aims to better understand the geochemical signatures of events that occurred in Earth’s earliest history and how they can help us understand the transition from Earth’s early state to our modern inhabitable environment.
